Unlike various hair clubs for men, there are no high-pressure tactics designed to sell products. We’ve created an individual, private, hair replacement service exclusively for women. What you’ll experience at Coltivare is a personalized, one-on-one consultation with Susan Kiger who is not only a registered nurse, but a hair replacement specialist with years of experience. Susan has helped women with every kind of hair loss imaginable and will explain all of your options (yes, you have options) and help you decide which one best fits your lifestyle.

Coltivare was created in 1992 (under the name Hairbuilders). Shawn Seeley was working in the hair care industry specializing in hair extensions. She noticed a huge void in the hair care market when it came to women with thinning hair. They were virtually ignored. Many hair clubs existed for men, but none for women. Women were forced to deal with products designed by men, for men. Unless they wanted short hairstyles and heavy, uncomfortable wigs, they were out of luck.

about So Shawn decided to create a company just for women. In 2006 Shawn’s sister Susan Kiger, took over the business and in 2010 changed the name to Coltivare. Coltivare caters specifically to women and the special problems they face when it comes to hair thinning and baldness. We understand the special nature of a woman’s needs. Our goal is to make every woman as comfortable and confident in her appearance as she can be.

We are not a high-pressure sales company who tries to sell you expensive products and programs. Unfortunately, we have seen charlatans and unscrupulous people in this industry. Our job is to arm you with information that will enable you to make the best decision for your situation. We want to help you learn as much as you can so you won’t be taken advantage of by anyone.
